The basic form of braille has 6 dots – there were also 6 thematic priorities at the World Congress Braille21. Beneath the broad title “Innovations in Braille in the 21^st Century”, there were interesting contributions from the following ranges of topics.

5. Braille as a part of Universal Design
6. The role of Braille in enabling independent living
