In the city centre, there are shopping opportunities of all kinds. Most of them are open from 10 am to 8 pm, some even until 10 pm.
Leipzig provides many restaurants and bars. In the city centre, the best streets are Barfußgässchen and Gottschedtstraße. In the district Südvorstadt, there are many bars, pubs and restaurants along Karl-Liebknecht-Straße.
Generally said: it is possible to tip in restaurants and bars, but you do not have to. Common are between 5 and 10 % of the invoice. The amount of the tip depends of course also on the satisfaction of the guest.
